it's a fairly chilly day today, and i have no heated garage to do work in, so the boy and i went up to a motorcycle salvage yard to do some research for possible parts.
we actually got there when it was open. found what looks like another tank in the back and the guy said he has a whole motor for 200 bucks.
then he showed me another complete kawasaki cruiser with title that he is selling for 400 bucks.
when it rains it pours, i reckon.

but the salvage place, WHOA! i thought it was just the stuff outside, but the interior...

and people think MY work spaces are a mess...

crankshaft is seized. we'll be working on that first. along with some cosmetic stuff while we wait for the shaft to let go.

it starts for real this weekend.
