an acquaintance of mine has made me an offer on two of my three bikes.

jack will never be sold. ftn.

but anyways. he comes out tomorrow to look at the two. if i take the offers as they stand, i will lose on the honda a LOT, but gain on the kh400 a little. and no, it does not even out at all.

we'll see how that goes.

i hate being taken advantage of. and concerning the honda i most certainly was, not just once but twice.

it will be good to have the thing that made my heart sick out of my sight for ever.

back to working on jack. but first to walmart for wd-40.

was worried about pujo for several hours while he slept next to my son throughout the afternoon. he would not come when i called to him.

but when all the little kids came back from their playdate he was up and his usual self. i think he pulled an all nighter with my son last night...

so he is still fine.

now if my mouse would stop fucking up...

someone on my friend's list made a very significant post this evening. and it dredged up some feelings i haven't wanted to address.

but oh well.

i am a musician.
i have played organ and piano since i was about 7. self-taught.
i have played guitar since i was 13. mostly self-taught.
i have played simple flute(no levers or stops) since i was in my mid 20s. self-taught.
i have played electric bass since 97 or so. self-taught.
i goof around on the djembe now and then.
i have sung since before the age of 4 and at the age of 17 after lettering in high school choir i won a voice scholarship to college.
i have written music at various times since i was 12.
i have performed on various stages in four different states, and one other country. with others and solo.
other musicians remember me by name after i play.
women wipe tears from their eyes after i sing, and their husbands buy me beer.

i own a 12 string acoustic guitar, a six string electric guitar, a six string martin travel guitar, an electric bass guitar, 6 wood flutes of various tunings, a fife, and a djembe. i have a piano in the garage i cannot afford to fix. i also have three amps scattered through out the house.

with all this, which i have mentioned now and then to the people i considered my friends, one would think they'd have enough common sense not to make the comment that the only decent musicians they ever have known were crazy and incapable of doing anything else.

yeah.

and i think about how i would like to perform at pagan pride day. however, it's just an "i'll show them" attitude.

went to the first day of the new semester.

i might pass biology lab! no really!

german is getting exponentially harder. which is fine since the bio lab looks easier. especially since it is all hands on stuff.

and there are four new students in the german class and 6 returnees. us 6 returnees are too well acquainted with each other. we have to get the new kids up to speed.

today is the german 2313 final. actually third day of final activities. last thursday was the oral test.
yesterday was the semester project and presentation.
today is the test.

then tomorrow summer semester 2 starts.
and so does my bass lesson gig.

and thursday after school i should be taking a road trip...

a few things. as if my life wasn't full of worry as it is.

came home to find the landlady has stopped by with a complaint about the mess on the front porch that my kids had been told to clean up for months but hadn't. this happens everywhere we go. i can nag nag nag but it takes a threat of eviction to get them moving. wtf.

i am so burned out by my kids that today i cannot stand them. and by tonight there will be more.

#1 and her youngest three just for the next week since she is on the verge of a nervous breakdown and has been told by the family counselor to take a week vacation.

#4 and her toddler. the noise level will be unbearable but she is moving back in permanently as far as i know.

#3. her roommate bailed on her, so she moved in last night. she has already donated to the household funds.

the check engine light is on in the mustang. but it is running fine.

but i just sent the english final paper out via email. and in a moment or two i will finish the german online workbook, and will then start studying for the test.

and pujo is still fine.

there are moments when i think about putting a paypal button up so folks can donate to the cause of sending me to school in germany and russia next summer. there really are. but a large part of me thinks it is just plain disrespectful to my friends to do so. that is why i don't.

later today i will send in my english paper. it isn't due till 5pm...

today i turn in my semester project for german. that was simple, but not really. my grammar still sucks. i am working on it: sentence structure and dative and akkusative cases...
what i could really use are just online drills with lots of sentences to fill in the appropriate word. lots of practice.

when i get home i will finish the online workbook for german also. and then prepare for tomorrow's final.

two more readthroughs to go on my final english paper. after a long time writing, rewriting and all, i had to take a prolonged break.

my friends finally picked up the kingsized bed and paid me. yay!

as of monday there will be a total of 11 people sharing this house.

still worrying about pujo. this is going to be a long 10 days (incubation time). thank you for the kind words.
